Born in Copenhagen Denmark, Nanna Beckmann studied jewellery design and silversmithing at London Guildhall University and later at the Royal College of Art.

Nanna always seeks to develop her working field with new areas of interest, materials and design directions, and does not subscribe to or believe in a narrow professional speciality.

Ideas and designs either come to her haphazardly, in the spur of the moment, or after a period of developments and analysis. She draws her inspiration form what she meets on her way – inspiration is in everything everywhere

Having lived and worked as a product designer in the innovative hub of Shanghai for more than 2 years, Nanna had the opportunity to gain first hand production experience, and has visited and worked with a number of manufactures across mainland China.
